I am actually reading one of your books as we speak and that is what brought here but this blog about your daughter made my tears. What a great mom she has in you! It reminds me of something to happened to me when I was a young mother of my premature daughter. I am 36 now so still kinda young ;) but I was 23 when she was born and she was 2-1/2 months early. She weighed only 2 pounds and 10 ounces when born and had to be 4 pounds before we could bring her home. After months of being home I was finally able to take her out....we went to Walmart for groceries and a cashier commented with a snarl about how I need to feed my baby cause she was so little. Well, I will just say I wasn't as tactful as you ;) I wasn't rude but yes I was defensive and told her that I was very proud of the weight my daughter gained cause she was born much smaller. She still had a pensive, disapproving look on her face but oh well...you can't fix ignorance in some people :D Please keep up the good work you do....it's very inspiring. I too want to be an author and am working on a book right now...I feel I am being led by God...but it is a learning experience....thanks again!
